In describing a magic item to my players I said it looked fancy, like a fantasy Eddie Bauer bag.
One of the players misheard.

The more I delve into 5e, the more I'm convinced 3.5e, for all its flaws, is the superior ruleset.
I KEEP having to make house rules for 5e. My 3.5e house rules list is much shorter, though there are a FEW changes from 5e I'm happy to house rule into 3.5e #DnD #TTRPG #DMProblems

I just made a mistake. I was introducing my new players to dnd classes, and I described ranger as "good at survival, has animal companion". And my players LOVE animals, and now we have three rangers in a one shot π
