With new connections forged and innovative ideas exchanged, #NasscomDeeptechConfluence2026: Agri & Water Tech comes to an end! Bringing together 80 delegates from across government, industry, research institutions, investors, FPOs, and the startup ecosystem, the Confluence focused on a critical question: how can Deeptech accelerate progress in agriculture, water security, and climate resilience? Across the day, conversations highlighted the need for stronger commercialization pathways, faster validation mechanisms, greater industry adoption, supportive policy frameworks, and deeper collaboration across the ecosystem to help innovations scale beyond pilots. The spotlight was also on 11 startups from the Nasscom Deeptech Club Accelerate cohort. IntelloLabs demonstrated AI powered quality grading for agricultural supply chains, Sustainable Water Technologies showcased nature based water rejuvenation systems, @DtownLimited highlighted autonomous robotics for agriculture, and Biowall Agrihealth presented decentralized bio fermentation for soil health. @Cluix_in shared its portable water quality analytics platform, while Suspack Technologies focused on sustainable packaging innovations. @BarifloL explored AI driven water intelligence, Visron demonstrated computer vision powered monitoring and analytics, RangerAg Services (@agrisciencetest) showcased technology enabled farm intelligence, @ScaNxt Scientific Technologies presented advanced sensing solutions, and Matolutions highlighted sustainability focused advanced materials. What will it take to solve India’s agriculture and water challenges at scale? Shreya, Director & Head, Nasscom Deeptech, set the context for the day at the #NasscomDeeptechConfluence Agri & Water Tech, spotlighting the urgent challenges facing India’s agriculture and water sectors and the role of Deeptech in addressing them. “About 600 million Indians actually experience high to extreme water stress, about 70% of the water is contaminated, and by 2030 our projected demand is expected to get double”, she noted, emphasizing the need for innovation driven solutions that can improve water security, restore soil health, and enhance agricultural productivity at scale. She emphasized the importance of building stronger connections between innovators, industry stakeholders, policymakers, and investors to ensure that promising technologies can move beyond pilots and achieve meaningful scale. The session also brought focus to the ecosystem priorities needed to accelerate innovation, from validation infrastructure and patient capital to procurement pathways and industry adoption.
