隔離Claude Code環境作ったけど、devbox(nix), devpod(devcontainer), orbstack(docker), pnpm(corepack)と、パッケージ管理する登場人物とその背後関係が多くて嫌んなっちゃって来たな。

Got handed a 4-year-old codebase in my internship and “just set it up” sounded easy… until npm installs started breaking, node versions didn’t match, and half the tools weren’t even maintained anymore. 🥲 That’s when devcontainers really clicked for me: Lock the dev environment (OS, language, tooling) into code instead of tribal knowledge. Onboard in minutes instead of days of “try this version / now downgrade that / works on my machine”. Same setup locally, in the cloud, or via tools like DevPod without being locked to a single IDE. Wrote up the whole journey (including how I used devcontainers DevPod to tame this legacy repo) here: blog.dv08.in/blog/devcontain… #devcontainers #DevPod #DeveloperExperience #SoftwareDevelopment #DevEnvironment

Launched DevPod directly in a microVM created by Slicer. Now go and do your worst with YOLO mode 😀 The SSH remote option for VScode could give a bit more of a familiar environment as you watch your agents work away safely.

「Positron使いたいけどコンテナ内で作業したい」という皆様、DevPodによってdevcontainerをPositronでも使えるとの噂を聞いて試してきましたので、ご確認ください。(結論から言うと簡単に使えますが多分Positron側の制限によりarm64コンテナは非対応です) zenn.dev/eitsupi/articles/de…

Had fantastic time at my first FOSDEM the first two days of this month, where we discussed DevPod and vCluster and how they can enhance developer experience (DevEx) while optimizing costs within organizations. I am grateful for the opportunity to showcase the exciting projects :D

🚀 𝐎𝐎𝐏 2025 - 𝐃𝐚𝐲 4🚀 Today marked the fourth and final day of @oop_conference 2025. So many inspiring talks, thought-provoking discussions, and deep dives into the future of software engineering. Here are some of my key takeaways from today's sessions: 🎤 Effektives Platform Engineering – @markus_zm #PlatformEngineering is a game-changer for modern software development, enabling teams to move faster while ensuring security and compliance. KEY TAKEAWAYS: 💡 The CNCF Maturity Model provides a structured approach to evolving internal developer platforms. 📊 Four maturity levels across five dimensions help teams optimize their platforms. 🛠️ Practical examples showcased how organizations can assess and improve their platforms effectively. 🎤 Codespaces, Gitpod, Devpod ... what cloud-based IDEs can do – @maeddes Cloud-based development environments are rapidly reshaping the way we build software. KEY TAKEAWAYS: 💡 #Gitpod, #GitHub #Codespaces, and #Devpod are revolutionizing development workflows. 🚀 Instant setup means faster onboarding, better collaboration, and seamless CI/CD integration. 🖥️ Live demos showed how to develop and deploy polyglot applications in a fully containerized environment. 🎤 GenAI-Bot-Entwicklung: Challenge Accepted – Tessa Pfattheicher & Lars Orta #GenerativeAI powered chatbots are not just another software project. They introduce new challenges for PO’s, BA’s, and developers alike. KEY TAKEAWAYS: 🤖 "Garbage in, garbage out" – #DataQuality is crucial for GenAI success. 🧩 AI projects require a shift in mindset: traditional deterministic testing doesn’t apply. 🔄 Experimentation & user feedback loops are key to refining AI-driven experiences. 🎤 From Perfect Surfaces to Virtual Twin Experiences – Sven Havemann @Dassault3DS has evolved far beyond CAD software, pioneering #VirtualTwin Experiences. KEY TAKEAWAYS: 🚗 Class A surfacing techniques define the visible design of modern cars. 🌍 #3Dtechnology is now integral to managing the real world through simulations. 🔗 Dassault Systèmes is much more than just CATIA – it’s shaping the future of digital twins across industries. 🎤 From Zero to PROD in 20 Minutes? Securely! – @MirkoQuarg & Kay Thriemer Deploying #BSI -compliant cloud infrastructure for critical sectors (KRITIS) is no trivial task! KEY TAKEAWAYS: 🔐 Policy enforcement with #Kubewarden, OPA/ #Gatekeeper, #Kyverno ensures compliance. 📊 Observability is key – #OpenTelemetry, #Grafana, #Elasticsearch power secure monitoring. 🚀 DevOps best practices like #GitOps (#ArgoCD, #Flux) & hardening (#AppArmor, #SELinux) are essential for secure cloud setups. 🔥 Final Reflections from OOP 2025 👉 OOP 2025 reinforced one thing: Innovation thrives when we break silos. A huge thanks to the speakers, organizers, sponsors and attendees for making OOP 2025 an unforgettable experience! 🚀 Until next time! 👋 #OOP #SoftwareArchitecture #PlatformEngineering #DevOps #Cloud #AI
