Fawn Mianju: Όταν το ΚΚ Κίνας Χρησιμοποιεί AI για Να Χτίσει Παράλληλη Πραγματικότητα Η Viginum είναι η γαλλική κρατική υπηρεσία επαγρύπνησης κατά των ψηφιακών ξένων παρεμβάσεων, υπαγόμενη στη Γενική Γραμματεία Άμυνας και Εθνικής Ασφάλειας (SGDSN), και ιδρύθηκε το 2021.  Η βασική της αποστολή είναι αμυντική: εντοπισμός και τεκμηρίωση επιχειρήσεων ψηφιακής επιρροής που στρέφονται κατά της Γαλλίας, με στόχο την προστασία του δημόσιου διαλόγου.  Η Viginum δημοσίευσε πρόσφατα μια από τις πιο τεκμηριωμένες αναλύσεις επιχειρήσεων επιρροής που έχω δει τα τελευταία χρόνια. Το δίκτυο «Fawn Mianju», 13 ψευδο-ιστότοποι «ειδήσεων» σε πολλές γλώσσες, λειτουργούσε ως αυτοματοποιημένη μηχανή αναδιατύπωσης περιεχομένου της κρατικής κινεζικής CGTN με χρήση LLM. Η απόδειξη ήταν αριθμητική: από 2.975 άρθρα της CGTN, τα 2.307 εμφανίστηκαν ελαφρώς τροποποιημένα στο δίκτυο, με μέσο χρόνο αναδιατύπωσης κάτω της μίας ώρας, ανεξαρτήτως ώρας ή ημέρας. Η στυλομετρική ανάλυση επιβεβαίωσε αυτό που δεν μπορεί κανείς να «αποδείξει» άμεσα: η τυπική ανθρώπινη διακύμανση στο ύφος εξαφανιζόταν στις αναδιατυπώσεις, μια ιδιαίτερα χαρακτηριστική «υπογραφή» παραγωγής LLM. Το πιο ενδιαφέρον σημείο δεν είναι η επιχείρηση καθεαυτή, αλλά η αποτυχία της. Παρά τις πληρωμένες διαφημιστικές καμπάνιες σε 89 χώρες, τα συνολικά views δεν ξεπέρασαν τις 15.000. Η στρατηγική εμβέλεια της επιχείρησης ήταν μεγάλη, ο αντίκτυπός της μηδαμινός. Αυτό όμως δεν είναι παρηγορητικό: η Viginum επισημαίνει ότι η σημασία βρίσκεται στη δυνατότητα που αποκαλύπτεται, όχι στο αποτέλεσμα αυτής της συγκεκριμένης εκστρατείας. Ένα σύστημα που παράγει αυτοματοποιημένη, πολύγλωσση, AI επεξεργασμένη προπαγάνδα σε κλίμακα, με στοχευμένο κοινό τη νεολαία και τη γαλλόφωνη Αφρική, δεν χρειάζεται παρά μια επόμενη έκδοση, καλύτερα βαθμονομημένη, για να γίνει πολύ πιο δύσκολο να εντοπιστεί. Για μας στην Ευρώπη, η υπόθεση αναδεικνύει κάτι που δεν πρέπει να ξεχνάμε: η απειλή δεν είναι πάντα ο κατάσκοπος με την καμπαρντίνα, αλλά ο senior project manager που, εξ αμελείας, αφήνει το login του σε εμφανές σημείο. Η αντίδραση της Viginum, δηλαδή η συνδυαστική χρήση ανοιχτών πηγών, αρχείων domain, ανάλυσης GitHub και στυλομετρίας, είναι ένα μοντέλο που θα έπρεπε να υιοθετηθεί συστηματικά σε ευρωπαϊκό επίπεδο, συμπεριλαμβανομένης και της Ελλάδας, όπου η θεσμική ικανότητα αναγνώρισης και αντιμετώπισης τέτοιων επιχειρήσεων παραμένει ακόμα υπό ανάπτυξη. Το όριο μεταξύ μιας αποτυχημένης επιχείρησης επιρροής και μιας επιτυχημένης δοκιμής δυνατοτήτων είναι δυσδιάκριτο. Military Populism: Mapping Digital Influence, Political Legitimacy, and Geopolitical Realignment in West Africa and the Sahel explores how military populism is increasingly shaped not only by governance failures, sovereignty rhetoric, or anti-establishment politics, but also by powerful digital ecosystems that shape narratives, influence public perception, and reinforce political legitimacy. Drawing from the analysis of 30,558 online publications monitored between July and September 2025, this report examines: ▪️ How military populism is evolving into a digitally reinforced governance strategy ▪️ The rise of the Alliance of Sahel States (AES) as both a political bloc and sovereignty narrative ▪️ Growing anti-ECOWAS and institutional distrust narratives ▪️ The strategic use of anti-French sentiment and postcolonial grievance ▪️ The role of external actors, including Russian-aligned influence networks, in shaping regional discourse This sequel goes beyond asking why military populism is rising. It focuses on how it is being legitimised, amplified, and normalised through online spaces and information systems. At its core, this report is about more than political change.
