We know that life costs more for disabled people. And @Scope's 2025 #DisabilityPriceTag report shows that the costs are spiralling. Read the full Price Tag report on Scope’s website: scope.org.uk/campaigns/disab…
The extra cost of being disabled in UK will rise by almost 12% in five years, says @scope. That means finding another £15k a year just to live at the same standard as non-disabled people. But MPs should cut PIP tomorrow, right? Seems logical and humane? theguardian.com/politics/202…

Given that the @scope the disability charity state the #DisabilityPriceTag is over £1000 per month for disabled folk, it's clear that PIP levels are still insufficient to ensure disabled folk remain independent, able to participate equitably in society which is a basic human right

We don't need to be grateful, it's the right thing that our country supports those in need when they need help. Remember folks, we my not pay Income Tax, but we pay proportionately more indirect tax due to the #DisabilityPriceTag, currently over £1000 per month acc to @scope
Here's a non-disabled person who claims he's not a bigot While Being A Bigot. My crime? Not being 'grateful' to him for receiving disability benefits.

Back on @GMB tomorrow at 7:10 AM The government is planning brutal cuts to welfare support that will be catastrophic for disabled people, half of who already live in poverty. See you there bright and early 🫡 #WelfareCuts #ExtraCosts #DisabilityPriceTag

At 3'10, I can’t just buy clothes off the rail—I have to tailor everything, but still manage to look professional without a PM’s salary. I have to look presentable working on TV & keynote speaking. Maybe I should start accepting donors for my wardrobe too! #DisabilityPriceTag

PM is under investigation for a possible breach of parliamentary rules after failing to declare that some of his wife's high-end clothes were bought for her by his biggest personal donor, Lord Alli Read more🔗 trib.al/PcYutBV

I only get a lower rate and it comes nowhere near the costs of being disabled. Research @scope #DisabilityPriceTag "even after taking #PIP into account, the average #disabled household faces extra costs of £975 per month." scope.org.uk/campaigns/extra…

Life costs more if you're disabled. The government has to provide better support, especially during the #CostOfLiving crisis. Powerful piece from our friend @ShaniDhanda on the financial cost of disability 👇 #DisabilityPriceTag @scope
The price tag that comes with a disability should shame us all, and it’s clear that we need action. We want to live our lives to the full, contribute to society and get on in life. Extra costs make that increasingly difficult. metro.co.uk/2023/03/02/ive-w… #ExtraCosts #DisabilityPriceTag @scope

Disabled people shouldn’t face a financial burden for something that’s out of their control. 📢 If you agree, email your MP, share our research, and support our work to campaign for change. Challenge the idea that this is just the way it has to be. scope.org.uk/campaigns/extra…

The #DisabilityPriceTag is real! 💷
Non-disabled people and their inaccessible decisions cost us disabled people more than just money. It affects our mental health and our chance at having any financial stability. Living in an inaccessible society cannot continue to cost the earth. metro.co.uk/2023/03/02/ive-w…

Here’s a crappy thing about #Disability. People don’t ask you to stay in their homes. They assume it’ll be too hard. Sometimes that’s true. But I really wish people would ask instead of assuming. #DisabilityPriceTag

It's no longer a case of choosing between "heating and eating". Many disabled people can't do either and are in falling further into debt and arrears on bills. #CostOfLivingCrisis #EnergyBills #Ableism #DisabilityPriceTag #DisabilityTwitter
91% of disabled people are worried about energy bills this winter @scope. Thank you @MartinSLewis @susannareid100 for highlighting this issue on @GMB. £150 is a tokenist gesture; whilst we welcome this support, this amount of money doesn't begin to scratch the surface. A thread🧵
