Today we celebrate👉#FHAwarenessDay‼️, during which we should talk about the #disease, necessity of its early #diagnosis, suitable effective #management and how to prevent #ASCVD #complications. I would like to share with you our recent data from the PMMHRI-FH Registry (NCT06571630) we presented during the #ESCCongress2024 in London, which shows the real-life challenges with the suitable FH diagnosis and management. Take home messages: 👉 we still diagnose very late, adults at median age of 44 years and children at the age of 9; 👉triple #combination #LLT was used in only 28% of patients, what is a critical call for action to extend the criteria for the #B101 #drugprogram with #PCSK9 modulators in Poland (all FH patients should be eligible to be treated with these drugs); 👉 despite optimal combination LLT, only 62%‼️adult patients were on the LDL-C target (71% of children); 👉 despite being effectively treated with triple LLT, 5% of patients experienced #MI, what put an attention for necessity to look at all #residual #CVD #riskfactors in FH #patients; 👉triple combination LLT was associated with the #LDLC reduction by 74.42% (by mean absolute reduction of 190 mg/dL) and increased the chance to achieve LDL-C #goal almost 5 times! 👉PCSK9 inhibitors were also associated with significant 45% reduction of #LPA in FH patients.
