Some posts include doctored Al Jazeera screenshots to give credibility to the narrative. 2️⃣ Misattributed Visuals The fire footage used in the viral posts is not from Pakistan. One widely shared video shows a Level III fire engulfing 4 km² of Aarey Forest, Mumbai on December 5, 2018. Another clip being circulated is from India’s 2025 retaliatory attacks, originally posted on multiple platforms with different captions. Both videos are repurposed to fabricate the J-10C collision story. 3️⃣ Historical Context of Disinformation EU DisinfoLab and other independent fact-checking agencies have documented systematic campaigns spreading anti-Pakistan narratives. Their 2025 report noted that 35–40% of trending anti-Pakistan stories on Indian social media were misleading or entirely fabricated, often using manipulated screenshots and unrelated footage. 4️⃣ Operational Reality The Pakistan Air Force strictly follows flight safety protocols. Any genuine mid-air collision would result in immediate statements from PAF and ISPR. De spil in dit web is EU DisinfoLab, een organisatie die zich voordoet als neutrale waakhond, maar feitelijk functioneert als een betaald doorgeefluik voor beleidsmakers. De financiële motor achter deze beïnvloeding is exact traceerbaar. In 2023 vloeide 134.037 euro direct van de Open Society Foundations (OSF) naar EU DisinfoLab. Dit bedrag staat niet op zichzelf; het wordt aangevuld met miljoenen uit Europese subsidiepotten zoals Horizon Europe (project *veraai.eu*). Hier is sprake van een gesloten financiële lus: de EU financiert via omwegen de externe lobbyisten die vervolgens in Brussel pleiten voor meer EU-bevoegdheden en censuurinstrumenten. Deze gekochte invloed wordt politiek witgewassen door een brede coalitie van Nederlandse partijen die, ondanks ideologische verschillen, dezelfde technocratische agenda dienen. Aan de rechterflank instrumentaliseerde VVD-Europarlementariër Bart Groothuis (Renew Europe) de data van DisinfoLab op 18 juni 2020 om de 'veiligheidskaart' te spelen en de INGE-commissie op te tuigen. Aan de linkerflank gebruiken politici als Tineke Strik (GroenLinks/De Groenen) dezelfde rapporten om vanuit een 'mensenrechtenperspectief' te pleiten voor streng toezicht op online platforms. Of het nu gaat om de VVD die 'inmenging' wil bestrijden of GroenLinks die 'desinformatie' wil aanpakken: de bron is dezelfde betaalde NGO, en de uitkomst is identiek – meer controle. Het rapport 'Indian Chronicles' fungeerde hierbij als het perfecte lobby-instrument. Het leverde de noodzakelijke schok-content die politici nodig hadden om wetgeving te legitimeren die zonder deze 'crisis' onacceptabel zou zijn. De media (NRC, NOS) faciliteren dit door de rapporten te presenteren als onafhankelijke wetenschap, terwijl ze de geldstromen en de politieke symbiose verzwijgen. Het eindresultaat, de DSA, is daarmee een product van betaalde invloed.
