🇺🇸 When I was learning about Kościuszko and Pulaski in elementary school, never in my wildest dreams I imagined that I’d be part of the celebration of the 250th anniversary of American independence.

It’s a pencil sharpener. They were mounted on a wall in public school classrooms, (when I was a student in elementary, junior high and high schools). A wooden pencil was inserted into a hole on the side and you manually turned the crank to get the pencil to the desired sharpness.

The worst part is him saying the strike on the elementary school in Minab (that killed 168 schoolchildren and teachers) "is a use case that doesn't even violate our red lines."

It is frankly embarrassing that a sitting U.S. Vice President is unaware of one of the most elementary facts of World War II. Nazi Germany did not negotiate an end to World War II. The war in Europe ended with Germany’s unconditional surrender after total military defeat and the collapse of the regime in May 1945.
