Day 5 of 30đŸ„ł Most brands go quiet the moment the order ships. No instructions. No guidance. No "here is how to get the most out of this." So the customer figures it out alone. Tries it wrong. Feels nothing. And wonders if they wasted their money. That feeling is what a how-to-use email was built to prevent. I designed "How to use email" for PF candle Co to make sure every customer gets the experience they paid for. It is not just a tutorial. It is a brand saying "we still care after the purchase". And when a customer feels that kind of care? They do not just come back. They bring everyone they know.đŸ€— #EmailDesign #Figma #HowToUse #ShopifyVA #EmailMarketing #Klaviyo #30DayChallenge #brandowner #Shopifystore #Ecommercestrategy #DTCbrands #Emailstrategy #Emailmarketer
Day 4 of 30đŸ„ł Some emails just feel good to read. The "How Does It Work" email is one of them. No pressure. No overwhelm. Just a warm, gentle walkthrough that makes your customer feel seen, informed and taken care of. For Bread Beauty, I designed an email that felt less like a sales pitch and more like a friend explaining something they genuinely love. Because that's what good communication does. It doesn't push. It invites. And when someone feels invited, not sold to, something beautiful shifts. They lean in. They trust. They buy. That's the quiet power of a "How Does It Work" email. #EmailMarketing #EmailDesign #HowItWorks #Klaviyo #Figma #BreadBeauty #CustomerEducation #EcommerceMarketing #ConversionDesign #LinkedInCreators #30DayChallenge

Recently I've been increasing my clients welcome flow revenue, Simply by adding ‘urgency’ to our discounts. Prior to now, I belonged to the school of thought that favored welcome discounts lasting 30 days, or even some that didn’t expire at all. But lately, I’ve been leveraging urgency. That evergreen copywriting tactic. The results? Customers who would’ve taken ages to decide now feel the need to act fast. And for the brand? More revenue. If you need help creating a welcome flow that actually converts new visitors into fans

A lot of people think personalization in email marketing is just about slapping the first name into every email. You know the... “Hey Maryann!” “Hi John!” “Just checking in, Sarah
” And don’t get me wrong, that’s one way to do it. I mean, who doesn’t like being called by their name? But if that’s the only card you’re playing, you’re barely scratching the surface. Real personalization goes way deeper. It’s about making your emails feel like they were written for one person; not just by throwing their name around, but by actually understanding them. Here are 3 better ways to personalize your emails that don’t involve yelling their name in every sentence: 1. Behavior-Based Triggers Did they view a product but didn’t buy? Abandon cart? Abandoned checkout? Send an email that speaks directly to what they did. 2. Smart Product Recommendations Instead of pushing random bestsellers, recommend things based on what they’ve actually shown interest in. Feels less like selling, more like helping. Product feeds are a great way to do this. 3. Speak Their Language You know that tone your audience responds to? Use it. Whether it’s casual, witty, or super clean, mirroring their tone shows you get them. Which of these will you implement this week? P.S. If your email marketing efforts aren’t generating at least 30% in attributable revenue, book a call with me: maryannabonyi.com #maryannabonyi #klaviyoexpert #emailmarketer

The first time I sent an email that made $8,000, I couldn’t believe it. I remember sitting there, staring at the screen, refreshing klaviyo like a mad person. Is this real? At the time, I was still finding my footing in email marketing, figuring things out, wondering if I even belong here. Then, somehow, I landed a deal with a big brand; one that was completely ignoring email marketing. They were making sales, but their email list? Gathering dust. I pitched them, they said yes, and suddenly, I was in charge of something big. No pressure, right? Well, I put together the first campaign, poured over every word, checked everything a hundred times, and finally, with my heart racing, I hit send. Then, I waited. Less than 24 hours later; $8K. It wasn’t even the money that got me pumped up; it was the opportunity to unlock revenue that was already there, just waiting to be tapped into. But don’t get it twisted; this brand already had the subscribers and the potential. They just lacked the strategy. And if one email could make $8,000, imagine what a real email strategy could do? If you’re reading this and your eCommerce brand is completely ignoring email marketing, you have two options: - Keep focusing on acquisition without any backend nurturing in place. - Do the opposite; embrace email marketing for nurturing leads and watch your revenue skyrocket. Unsubscribing from your email list has never been this easy. With Gmail’s new unsubscribe feature, it’s easier than ever for your audience to end their relationship with you. That’s why, more than ever, - sending emails people actually want to read is non-negotiable. - Segmenting your audience based on what you know about them; their browsing behavior, information captured through forms and surveys, their purchasing habits, and more, is non-negotiable. - Treating every customer’s journey differently is non-negotiable. If you're not generating at least 30% attributable revenue from email marketing, you should speak to me. Book a call (Link in bio) or send a DM #maryannabonyi #klaviyoexpert #emailmarketer

On Nov 6th 2024, I started a Wednesday Twitter Space that has been ongoing all the while. Before then, I had always wanted to host a space for freelancers, but for some reason, I kept procrastinating and procrastinating. But that very day, I said, "Damn it, let's do it." For months, I had been hosting this space without a dedicated name. Finally, after much consideration, I have decided to name it SKILL HOUR. What’s Skill Hour about? Skill Hour is a weekly Wednesday Twitter Space where we discuss freelancing, getting clients, personal development, and a host of others. In the coming weeks, we’ll have guest speakers who will come on board to educate us on different areas. If you're a skilled person; email marketer, copywriter, designer, developer, you name it; you definitely do not want to miss SKILL HOUR for anything in the world! Hit the follow button so you don’t miss out on updates. By the way, which design is your best; A or B? #maryannabonyi #skillhour #emailmarketer

I had a very intriguing conversation last weekend. A lady reached out to me, wanting my opinion on something. She had been closing deals almost every week on LinkedIn; clients reaching out, contracts signed, money flowing in. By all definitions, she was doing well. But she didn’t feel that way. “I know I’m getting clients,” she said, “but I look at some people with thousands of followers, all that engagement, and I feel like I’m not doing enough.” I could hear the frustration in her voice. She was winning, but somehow, it didn’t feel like a win. So, I asked, “What do you really want; clients or clout?” She hesitated. “Both,” she admitted. And I get it. In today’s world, visibility feels like validation. More likes, more followers, more attention. It's easy to believe that’s what success looks like. But here’s the thing: attention doesn’t always mean impact. You can have the numbers, the applause, the recognition, but if you’re not getting real results, what’s the point? Meanwhile, she was already where most people with the big numbers wished they were; closing deals, making money, building something real. Yet, she was looking at them, and they were probably looking at her, wondering how she was doing it. Seriously guys
this is why it’s so important to define success for yourself. If you don’t, the world will do it for you, and you’ll always feel like you’re falling short. So, how do you measure your success? For some, it’s money in the bank. For others, it’s impact; helping people, building something meaningful. Maybe for you, it’s freedom; the ability to work on your terms. Or maybe, yes, it’s visibility; becoming known in your industry. Whatever it is, define it and own it. Because success isn’t about others, It’s about what makes you fulfilled. I left her with this; Buy a journal. Then write out in plain terms what success really means to you. Write it so bold and every morning, read it out to yourself. Because here’s the thing, when you fail to be yourself, the world will try make you like everyone else. #maryannabonyi #klaviyoexpert #emailmarketer

I used to have an acquaintance who seemed to have it all figured out. She was a copywriter, a designer, web developer, social media manager, virtual assistant, to name a few. Basically, there was hardly any skill she hadn't dabbled in. Every time we talked, she was onto something new. 📌 One month? She was learning sales funnels. 📌 The next? She was deep into branding. 📌 A few weeks later? She wanted to run Facebook ads for clients. At first, I was impressed. She was always learning. But over time, I noticed something: She was always starting, never growing. Stay with me. Earlier this year, she called me, frustrated. "I don’t get it. I have all these skills, but I’m still struggling to land high-paying clients." So, I asked her: "Out of everything you do, what’s the ONE thing you’re known for?" She went quiet. Then sighed. "I guess
nothing, really." That’s when it hit her. She wasn’t stacking skills to offer more value to future or existing clients, Instead, she was doing it because she feels the next skill is the ‘NEXT BIG THING’ And that’s the problem. Don’t get me wrong, it’s not bad to stack skills. In fact, it’s one of my mantras. But the question you’ve got to ask yourself before you go skill stacking is, 'Why?' Why exactly are you stacking these skills? The next question? Which of the skills am I known for? Because let’s be real, it’d be a great disservice to your efforts, if all you do is learn more skills, without being deeply rooted in one. #maryannabonyi #emailmarketer #klaviyopartner

Sometime in 2023, I got on a call with a CEO who was excited about my email marketing services. He was the perfect client, loved my approach, saw the value, and was eager to move forward.  We talked about how my emails could increase engagement, nurture leads, and drive more revenue.  By the end of the call, he said, “I love it. Let’s do this.” At that moment, I thought the deal was sealed. But then he hit me with: “I’ll just run this by our marketing head, and we’ll get started.” I didn’t think much of it. I mean, if the CEO wants it, it’s happening, right? Wrong. A few days later, I got the dreaded email: “We’ve decided to hold off for now.” Ouch. Honestly? I should have seen it coming. Looking back, I realized my mistake; I had sold the CEO but ignored the marketing head’s perspective. And if i were to go back in time, I’d; ‱Ask upfront who else needed to be involved in the decision. ‱Get the marketing head on board first, so he felt like it was his idea too. ‱Position myself as his ally, showing how I’d make him look good, not replace him. Maybe then, I would have closed the deal. Lessons learned! PS: If you're a brand owner and your email marketing isn't attributing at least 30% of your overall revenue, you should be speaking with me.  Send me a DM or book a discovery call: maryannabonyi.com #maryannabonyi #klaviyo #emailmarketer #ecommerce #klaviyoexpert

When I used to work for NIMC back in Port Harcourt, my boss would always tell us: "No one is indispensable. The day you leave, work will continue like you were never here." At first, I didn’t take it seriously. But over time, I saw the truth. I watched people resign or get transferred, and the office didn’t collapse. No matter how good someone was, their chair was filled in weeks. Work went on. Life moved forward. This applies everywhere; jobs, businesses, even life itself. Many people overwork themselves thinking, “This place will fall apart without me.” But the hard truth? It won’t. The company you’re killing yourself for will replace you in days. The clients you think can’t survive without you will find someone else. Even in families, people adapt and move on. But this doesn’t mean you should be average. If you’re going to do something, give it your best shot. Over-deliver. Be excellent. Perhaps not because the company deserves it, but because you do. You’re not doing this for them; you’re doing it for you. Your effort, discipline, and work ethic stay with you. When the time comes to move on, you won’t have regrets. You’ll know you gave it your all. So instead of working hard just because you want to be indispensable to the company, work hard because you want to be indispensable to your own growth. The goal isn’t to be “irreplaceable” at a job, but to be so skilled and knowledgeable that you can thrive anywhere. Welcome to March! This month, Overdeliver!!! PS: If you’re an e-com brand owner and you’re not currently doing email marketing, send me a DM or book a discovery call: maryannabonyi.com #maryannabonyi #klaviyo #emailmarketer #ecommerce #klaviyoexpert

This is what happens before someone buys a product đŸ§” Sarah is scrolling Instagram late at night. She sees an ad for a sleek standing desk. She thinks, "Oh, that looks nice. I should get one someday." But she’s tired. She keeps scrolling. The next morning? The ad is long gone from Sarah’s mind. She goes about her day as usual. A few days later, she’s at work, shifting uncomfortably in her chair. Her back hurts. She remembers how tiring it is to sit all day. Now, for the first time, she feels the problem. That same standing desk ad pops up while she’s scrolling. This time, she pauses. She remembers how her back felt. She clicks on it, looks around the website, but doesn’t buy. She’s busy. That night, she randomly tells a friend, “I saw this cool standing desk online.” Her friend replies, “Oh, I got one last year. Best decision ever.” Now she’s really interested. Social proof just kicked in. A few days later, she searches “best standing desks for back pain.” She reads reviews, watches YouTube videos, compares brands. Now she’s considering it seriously. She’s interested, but there’s no urgency. She thinks, “I’ll buy it soon.” Days pass. No purchase. One day, she gets an email: “20% off this weekend only.” That’s it. She pulls out her card and buys. This is how purchases really happen. It’s never instant. People don’t just see your ad and buy. They need time. They need reminders. Your job? Stay in front of them until they’re ready. ...And that's what email marketing does for you. Email marketing helps you stay in front of customers until they're ready. If you're not already doing email marketing for your business, you're wrong! Send me a DM or book a discovery call: maryannabonyi.com #maryannabonyi #klaviyo #emailmarketer #ecommerce #klaviyoexpert
