The Internet has created a lot of confusion because it clashes science with speculation. Speculation often masquerades as fact and pretends to be science. At the same time, scientifically acquired knowledge is often wrong and almost never complete. It often clashes with our intuition and subjective experiences. Since most of you won't read it, here is the takeaway: 1. Scientists—be humble and be bold. Do not laugh at pseudoscience; respond by educating us. Better yet, investigate the crazy ideas that occupy our imagination. This is what the public would appreciate the most. 2. Pseudoscientists—admit that you are entertainers and content creators. Your work is meant to capture our attention, but it has zero (and sometimes, negative) scientific value.
