חוזר מהכינוס המדעי הגדול בארץ. אילנית/fiseb באילת. מעל 3000 מדענים ורופאים מכל התחומים. זכיתי לכהן בו כסגן נשיא fiseb (אגודות ישראליות לביולוגיה ניסויית) והכנו אותו (עמירם, יובל, סיגל, טלי תמי, רועי ואני) שנתיים. עשרות ססיות מדעיות ורפואיות עם מיטב המדענים בארץ ואורחים מחול שהעזו לבוא בתקופה של אוטוטו מלחמה. אתה מייד מבין שישראל נמצאת בחזית המחקר בעולם אבל גם את המגבלות התקציביות שיש בישראל ונקודות בחולשה שיש לפתח. 3000 החוקרים כאן הן פנים יפות של ישראל שמעבר למחקר רפואי וביולוגי יטביעו את חותמם בחינוך, בחברה, בסובלנות, ובחוית עבודה בשיתוף פעולה. חגיגה אמיתית לראות את המדענים של המחר מדבררים בהתרגשות את עבודתם בפגישות המדעיות ובערב האחרון מפזזים לצלילי אתניקס יחד עם מוריהם המזדקנים. בימים שמצד אחד מספרים בשבחו של שיבא כמדורג 7 בעולם ומצד שני על תחלואיו של יוספטל יש עלינו אחריות לקרב גם מחקר ביולוגי ורפואי וגם שירותים רפואיים מהפריפריה למרכז ומהמרכז לפריפריה. נתראה בפגישה הבאה ואולי עד אז נפעל ביחד לכמה מטרות חשובות.

⭐Prof. Angel Porgador Receives the FISEBstar Award for Contributions to Cancer Immunotherapy We are proud to highlight the achievements of Prof. Angel Porgador, a senior faculty member in the Shraga Segal Department of Microbiology, Immunology and Genetics at the Faculty of Health Sciences, Ben-Gurion University of the Negev. 🔬Prof. Porgador has been recognized by the Federation of Israeli Societies for Experimental Biology (FISEB) with the FISEBstar Award, honoring his significant contributions to cancer research and immunotherapy, and his impact on advancing life sciences and medicine. ⚕️His work spans pioneering basic research alongside the development of innovative, clinically relevant therapeutic approaches. As head of the Laboratory for Cancer Immunotherapy and Treatment Diagnostics, Prof. Porgador focuses on personalized immunotherapies, including therapeutic antibodies, engineered immune cells, and advanced platforms for evaluating drug responses using patient-derived tumors. By bridging fundamental immunology with translational oncology, his research supports the development of novel immunotherapeutic strategies and immune-based biomarkers for cancer diagnosis and treatment. What a ride it’s been! Our ILANIT/ FISEB 2023 celebration of science and symposium was a major success! It’s incredible to see researchers, graduate students, postdocs, biologists, and doctors from all over Israel come together to share their knowledge and latest discoveries.
