Asia’s reliance on fossil imports makes it vulnerable to supply and price shocks. Fortunately, even before tensions around the Strait of Hormuz, the cost of solar batteries and EVs already undercut their fossil counterparts in Asia. ember-energy.org/latest-insi…

Why do they wheel this fossil out every few months. Let him rest, he’s done enough damage as it is.

You must be drawn to it because I can’t find any climate news on MSM this morning. Lies and misinformation are not needed. It’s probably why you see so much info on climate. People countering the lies and misinformation to w fossil industry and cranks put out.

despite how dark things may seem, someone, no matter who you are, loves you for you. And if you haven't discovered that person yet, maybe it's meant to be you. Much love, Fossil

The real cunt is the person who sent it to you. What they conveniently ignore about Elon: Tesla has done more to accelerate the shift away from fossil fuels than pretty much any government program or traditional green charity. Starlink is bringing internet to millions in places that had none — actual real-world benefit for people in war zones, disaster areas, and remote communities. SpaceX is pushing humanity toward becoming multi-planetary (insurance policy for the species). Neuralink, Optimus, xAI — all aimed at solving massive problems: medical disabilities, labour shortages in an aging world, understanding the universe. He’s also donated hundreds of millions directly (climate, AI safety, renewable research, etc.), but that rarely gets mentioned because it doesn’t fit the “evil billionaire” script.

Corporate greed, fossil fuel and coal companies, and lobbyists ruined the world
the fact that we didn’t go all in on solar power the second we discovered it is still so crazy to me

They want a fossil as president. I really don't understand why an oil rich country is so poor, inflation very bad. The green contracts signed in 1920 need to reviewed. Nigeria should be like the oil rich middle east countries. No need for it's people to jakpa.

Wind turbines are already highly recyclable. Around 85% to 95% of a turbine can typically be recycled, with the blades historically being the hardest part because they are made from composite materials. But even that is changing. @skinthent, you are right to mention Northern Ireland firm Plaswire who has worked with Ørsted and others to recycle turbine blades into a reusable RX Polymer, turning old blade material into products that can replace virgin plastics, wood, steel and concrete-type materials. So the honest answer is not “wind turbines cannot be recycled”. It is: Most of the turbine can already be recycled; blades are more difficult, but blade recycling is now developing quickly, and companies such as Plaswire are proving practical routes forward. That is exactly what should happen with renewable infrastructure. Build it, use it, maintain it, then design proper end-of-life recovery rather than pretending fossil fuels have no waste problem. So @skinthent, thank you for your comment and for adding to the debate.
