I would also like to give the streetcars their own line labels and proper map, to make the system easier for tourists/infrequent users to understand. Rotterdam is a good example, with both tram and subway maps that are easy to read. SEPTA just relabeled their trolleys too!

Things have fallen so far in Toronto that the very basics have become accomplishments.

And what about speeds when crossing intersections above ground?

Note that through editing it’s a bit simplified in terms of what’s needed for eliminating slowdowns (not just the switches themselves but also certain systems), but it’s still very feasible.

We aren’t related to @FastTrackTO but we share very similar goals. We will be primarily tweeting about all the busted signals and switches and what we can do to fix it. Data and analysis incoming…

Thank you for preparing this plan. These are excellent proposals, and many of them could be implemented swiftly at modest cost.
