If you want to eat really good British food these are places to go though. You can go to St John by Fergus Henderson. And you can go to Dinner by Heston Blumenthal. Go to Clare Smyth’s place, she ran Gordon’s flagship for years. But not London and not everyday British.

The sun set on the British Empire. It’s gone. There are fantastic restaurants in London but they almost all serve food from other places like the Middle East or Africa or Thailand or India or Japan. There is Fergus and Heston but Heston is doing stuff from like 1300 and 2300 AD.

This is the kind of person who hates the PM - not for the substance, but for the trappings. Fergus deserves a terrible, awful, no good day.
Would have been more sympathetic to this if he’d announced it dressed in a Privy Councillor’s uniform rather than like he’s been banned from the local shopping precinct for sleeping in the Photo Booth machine.
