ในงานดูแลระบบจริง เรามักเจอสถานการณ์ที่ต้องการแชร์โฟลเดอร์จาก Server เครื่องหนึ่งให้เครื่อง Linux อื่น ๆ ใช้งานร่วมกัน เช่น แชร์ไฟล์ backup, แชร์ directory สำหรับ web server หลายเครื่อง, แชร์ไฟล์ ISO ภายใน Lab หรือใช้เป็น storage กลางสำหรับเครื่อง virtual machine
วิธีที่นิยมมากในโลก Linux คือ NFS หรือ Network File System เพราะตั้งค่าง่าย ทำงานได้ดีในระบบ Linux/Unix และเหมาะกับเครือข่ายภายในองค์กรหรือห้อง Lab

The /etc/hosts file provides static hostname ↔ IP address mappings on a local machine.
Example:
127.0.0.1 localhost
192.168.1.10 fileserver
When the system resolves a hostname, it typically checks /etc/hosts before querying DNS (depending on the resolver configuration).
Quick contrast:
/etc/passwd → user account information
/etc/group → group information
/etc/shadow → password hashes and password policy data

I want to make use of following devices:
> 1 ancient Samsung Android tablet.
> 3 Samsung Galaxy phones. 3-5 years old.
> Microsoft Surface
> 2 decent laptops
Only laptops are used, other devices not so much. Can't give away tab and phones because of risk of misuse.
I have a RTL-SDR and and a PortaPack H2. Also one Raspberry Pi 3 running a PiHole and 2-3 Adruinos of different types. A fileserver with dockers is also available.
What projects I can use them for?

Mounting an S3-like bucket with `rclone` behind a plain-old static fileserver was a big breakthrough for me in terms of archiving. Radically less disk space needed, powerful caching policies, a well-understood backup protocol, and trivial migration to other providers!

yeah my desktop with a 2070s from 2018 and a 3700x from 2019 can still run any new game at reduced settings. I just use it as a fileserver/media server mainly now though.
