What happened in Abraka is nothing short of a disgrace, a brutal, cowardly act carried out by those who swore to defend the people. Peaceful protesters, already pushed to the edge by kidnappings and lawlessness, were met not with compassion, not with action, but with gunfire. Innocent lives were endangered simply because they dared to speak out against the insecurity that has turned their homes and schools into danger zones. Let it be said clearly this is not just a failure of duty it is a criminal act. The government cannot brush this under the rug. The officers soldiers and police who opened fire on unarmed citizens must be immediately identified, arrested, and prosecuted. Anything less is complicity. Their uniforms do not place them above the law. The time for silence and press statements is over. If this government has any shred of integrity left, it must not only apologize but act decisively. Nigerians are tired of dying in silence. Tired of living in fear. And tired of being gunned down for demanding what is rightfully theirs security. If the government wants to end this crisis, then it must urgently adopt e-governance tools to restore order and trust. Create digital platforms for real-time crime reporting. Use data and public feedback to track police performance. Deploy predictive analytics to map crime trends and preempt attacks. The technology exists. The tools are available. What is missing is the political will to protect the people. If the government can mobilize armies to suppress protests, then it can mobilize digital systems to prevent crime. The people of Abraka deserve justice. The killers in uniform must face it. #JusticeForAbraka #EndPoliceBrutality #StopTheKillings #ProtectNotAttack #DeltaStateProtests #eGovernanceNow #SecureNigeria #AccountabilityNow #DigitalSecurityReform #SayNoToStateViolence #NigeriaDeservesBetter #HumanRightsNigeria #EndKidnappings #FixSecurity #NigerianLivesMatter #DeltaStateInCrisis

Be careful what you wish for—they might get the job and still repeat the problem. 11 years ago, @officialABAT condemned killings under Jonathan. Today, the killings continue—under his watch. Same outrage. Different office. 📌 The truth? Nigeria’s crisis isn’t about switching presidents. It’s about rebuilding leadership culture from the ground up. That’s why we launched the #13kCredibleChallenge—to support Nigerians with the courage, competence, and integrity to lead differently. 📢 Follow @Step_up_Naija. Let’s stop recycling speeches—and start raising real leaders. #StepUpNaija | #13kCredibleChallenge | #FixSecurity | #LeadershipWithIntegrity | #OrganizeNotRepeat

The Plateau crisis isn’t just one thing—it’s a mix of land disputes, weak governance, ethnic tensions, and a complete failure of security systems. For years, poor justice delivery, lack of local policing, and political manipulation have allowed violence to fester unchecked. People are killed, but no one is held accountable. It becomes a cycle. 📌 The real question is: Where are the leaders bold enough to fix this from the roots? Not with press statements—but with real reforms: Community-based security Honest conflict resolution Justice that actually works Leaders who care about peace more than power That’s why we’re organizing 13,000 credible Nigerians to lead differently—starting from the local level. 📢 Follow @Step_up_Naija and help us build a Nigeria where leadership solves, not just explains away, crises. #StepUpNaija | #13kCredibleChallenge | #FixSecurity | #LeadershipIsLocal | #OrganizeForPeace

10 years ago, @officialABAT tweeted these exact words. Today, as President, those same words are still true. Same insecurity. Same pain. Same frustration. Different position. This is why Nigeria’s problem is deeper than party or power. The faces change, but the system stays broken—because we keep ignoring structure and credible leadership at every level. Real security needs real reform: 📌 Local policing. 📌 Intelligence-led operations. 📌 Leaders who actually serve, not recycle speeches. That’s why we’re building something different. 📢 Follow @Step_up_Naija and join the #13kCredibleChallenge. Let’s raise a new generation of leaders who don’t just repeat the problems—they solve them. #StepUpNaija | #FixSecurity | #OrganizeNotRepeat | #13kCredibleChallenge

Cases like the Ogbomoso man, his staff [a student], and the motorcyclist that were killed by kidnappers after collecting ransom is a major reason the bulk of the growth-enablers [youth] in Nigeria are calling a foreign land their home. #FixSecurity please! 🙏

Who'd explain to the woman in Anka LGA that she can now go to her farms to farm in peace without fear of being attacked by bandits/terrorists? You can't build an economy with there mass violence and terrorism. #FixSecurity first before we start talking about that

Insecurity is an anathema to tourism anywhere. If hotels occupants are bing attacked in the night. If there is ethnic tension and conflicts. If kidnappings continue. No amount of train tracks will make people visit the locations for a tourist experience. #FixSecurity
