yeah, I started paying attention to what I ate and the number of inflammations that occured.
problem is, some foodtypes take weeks of abstaining until you notice something, I'm sure I missed several, but overall it helped.
No because this came up on my TL earlier and I can’t believe people still fall for a weight loss program that forces you into believing that certain foods/foodtypes are a sin to eat
Shocking! My almost 11 year old was refused to attend a week long activity programme (non residential) because of his allergies. It was a massive step for him to agree to go, they said yes then changed their minds a few weeks later. My heart broke telling him he couldn’t go.
Happens to be a specialist interest of mine (I run @FreeFromMI for this allergy). Happy to help if it turns out to be this. Shouldn't be in creams that you 'leave on' your skin, just 'rinse off' products (shampoo, shower gel). Also, household detergents.
WEBSITE EXCLUSIVE! This baking mix is sure to go down a treat with everyone, it is free from the Top 14 Allergens! You can add anything to this mix from blueberries, and raspberries you name it and they're delicious. @foodtypes@viclaaavictoria @glutarama #allergies#allergenfree
Don't get me wrong, sometimes people say things in callus ways to both kids and adults but the fact that she said it might be the best advice ever because some people may not be careful or even care when serving your child. #alwayscarrytwo
They do have that right, I agree but unfortunately, there can be errors made by staff who just really are ill prepared to accommodate our children so I do understand what the person was trying to say because I make sure that both my son and myself have something with us.
I think we should have a right to labelled food but not necessary a right to allergen free food. I’ve struggled with lack of labelling a lot and tbh would rather not eat anything than take a risk
I believe they’re fighting for better labelling so we can make informed choices. Sadly sometimes that choice is to skip eating unless you’ve brought along something safe. It sucks but it’s the same for other health conditions too eg #diabetes not just for those with food allergy
I think this probably comes down to how it is worded. Those of us with FA must be constantly aware of the risks and not expect everywhere to cater. However food is social and I believe we have as much right as anyone else to go to family meals (with planning), weddings etc.
