I've been using a hydroponic plant food on my houseplants instead of common fertilizers you find at the big box stores (FoxFarm Grow Big) and my houseplants are thriving. I did buy it for microgreens but I am having trouble with microgreens and need to create a set-up 🔽🔽🔽

That's a storage issue not a foxfarm issue. You need to find a reputable retailer. My retailer store inside never once in all the years I've been using never had one bug.

GROWING TOMATOES IN CONTAINERS - Container tomatoes thrive when roots have room to grow. A 15-gallon pot supports better water and nutrient uptake, while small pots limit growth. Use a quality soil mix like FoxFarm, plant at the right depth, and add fertilizer at transplant. Mulch to retain moisture and water consistently to prevent cracking and blossom end rot.

This is my 5th year growing food. The containers work very well for growing tomatoes and all kinds of peppers. I found that this Foxfarm potting soil grows pretty much anything and quickly. You can use your finger or a Cotten swap to self-pollinate most tomatoes and peppers if there are no bees around. I'm not a botanist, but I hope this helps. Mixing our own starter mix… We looked at Foxfarm but we already have all the stuff to make our own! Coco coir for moisture, perlite for airflow, vermiculite for balance, and worm castings for living biology. Light, breathable, and steady. Now we patiently wait

If you not gonna mix your own soil grab Big Rootz from the Soil King. Foxfarm is OK if you can’t get anything else. But there are several much better bagged soils

And it's a lot cleaner too. My grow only uses Dawn and baking soda for bugs, I don't use chemical fertilizer, I grow in Foxfarm and my local dirt, my product is very clean and never has mold. 🌱

I noticed this. Beyond the Mg issue, which I now understand, is there some sort of formula or general rule for how to tweak from charts like foxfarm, or even the Lucas method? Or is it mostly just ballpark and watch? Any literature guidance to read would be appreciated. Cheers!

Here’s a little update on the garden…. As I always say, I do it so you don’t have to. This is the sign of over stressed plants from HST, Heavy Stress Training. And the one I pretty much left alone, which I will be cloning, is throwing hands like a P.I.M.P.!!! Just gotta keep cruising along and work with what the plants say. Thank you @DFDredd for the foliar feeding tip. Did a little defol on the left one while I was in it. The FIMing I did really created a dense bush right below the main tips so I opened it up for air circulation. Also did a water only feeding. Till next time, Stay gifted, Stay Lifted! LFG!
