March is our birthday month at the Lab and this year, we were lucky enough to be together to mark our 14th year in Naivasha, Kenya, at a global retreat. Colleagues from Nepal, Nigeria, Mali, Liberia, Zimbabwe, South Africa, the United States and Mexico spent a few days discussing our new strategy - our perspectives charged by fish eagles, wildebeest and hippos!
We closed the proceedings with a round of personal and professional commitments to our translocal network as well as a Friendraiser in Nairobi - thank you to all who came to spend some time with us.
Thank you to Achieng Akena for supporting our sense-making so purposefully. Gratitude also to Sox the Poet and Rachael Ngwarai from our fellowship programs in Zimbabwe, and Mexican program director Ingrid Löwenberg, whose incredible music provided guidance of a different sort! Here's to the next 14 years of the Lab 🥳
