As part of the Understanding India course under the RFP of the Rashtram School of Public Leadership, learners engaged in the powerful exercise, Mapping Sacred Paths of India.
Designed by our own faculty, Dr. Pratishtha Mukherjee, this activity invited learners to step into the role of cultural explorers—researching pilgrimage routes, sacred sites, and spiritual traditions from their own regions, and weaving them into a printed map of Bharat’s sacred geography.
What emerged was not just a collection of stories, deities, and rituals, but a living tapestry of India’s civilizational unity—where diverse traditions, from Shiva’s Himalayan abodes to Shakti’s peethas, Buddhist circuits, Jain tirthas, and Ramayana trails, all converge in one grand narrative of oneness.
This immersive activity elevated learning into an experience of cultural pride, belonging, and respect—showcasing how every region, every story, and every sacred site is a vital thread in the magnificent fabric of Bharat.
