Nurturing the Next Generation of Educators The Department of Teacher Education (DTE), NCERT, has commenced a three-week Internship Programme (10 June -1 July 2026) for 26 students of the Integrated Teacher Education Programme (ITEP) from the Department of Education, Central University of Kerala. The internship aims to bridge the gap between theory and practice by providing meaningful exposure to NCERT’s departments, divisions, cells, and key initiatives, fostering a rich professional learning experience. During the introductory session, participants shared their expectations and discussed challenges related to ITEP. Welcoming the interns, Prof. Sharad Sinha, Head, DTE, encouraged them to become competent, committed, creative, and reflective educators contributing to nation-building. Insightful sessions by Dr. J.
