#GaspeeDays are here again! Every year, RIers gather along Narragansett Parkway to celebrate RI’s central role in sparking the American Revolution. Here in the Ocean State, we’ve never lost that fiery spirit! 🔥
Before the Boston Tea Party, there was the burning of the Gaspee.
254 years later, Rhode Islanders are still proud to celebrate the spirit of independence that started it all at the annual Gaspee Days Parade!
254 years ago, a group of brave Rhode Islanders kickstarted the events that would lead to the American Revolution and struck the first blow for freedom with the burning of the HMS Gaspee. 🔥⛵️
It was great to celebrate the revolutionary history of our state and say hello to so many folks at @gaspeedays today!

Happy Gaspee Days Rhode Island!
Today we commemorate the brave RIers who burned the HMS Gaspee, sparking the flame of independence and setting the stage for the American Revolution.
Thank you @GaspeeDays Committee for organizing today’s celebration!
Just saw the pieces of trash @SenWhitehouse & @GovDanMcKee in the #GaspeeDays Parade. Hopefully next year they are locked up in the Slammer. Bunch of clowns 🤡🇺🇲
