Yesterday was a special day for Hornlee. 🏥💙 This community now has a brand new, R48.7 million clinic. The new Hornlee Clinic means shorter queues, more privacy during consultations, better chronic and acute care - a space for dignity and wellbeing. For the residents this is healthcare that shows up for you. @MireilleWenger and I were there to mark the moment alongside community members and the healthcare workers who make it all happen every single day. 💙 #ForYou #GettingItDone

Today we moved through the Cederberg - visiting Clanwilliam Dam, Algeria valley and the severely damaged Uitkyk Pass. We finished the day in Piketberg and Goedverwacht visiting communities. Near Citrusdal, we stopped at a section of Citrusdal bridge that our department of infrastructure rebuilt before this storm. The bridge remains fully in tact. That is what long-term investment in this province looks like. In Goedverwacht, we delivered blankets to elderly residents. Then in Piketberg, we met a group of remarkable women who have been running a soup kitchen for five years. During the storms, they kept going. A sincere thank you to all for the welcome and for your commitment to your communities. We continue tomorrow.🤝 #ForYou #GettingItDone
