ONC Conducts Enrollment Monitoring Visit to Namutumba Modern Muslim Primary School
The Office of the National Chairman (ONC) Coordinator for Namutumba District, Ms. Lillian Naigaga, led a monitoring and assessment team to Namutumba Modern Muslim Primary School. The visit, conducted as part of the ONC’s ongoing efforts to evaluate the implementation and grassroots impact of government education programs, aimed to assess enrollment levels and pupil engagement.
The delegation was warmly received by the school’s Headteacher, Mr. Mulumba Yusufu Nagaya, who reiterated the institution's dedication to providing quality education and moral guidance to its learners.
During the interactive session, Ms. Naigaga addressed the pupils, emphasizing the importance of discipline, respect for teachers and parents, and a strong commitment to their studies. She encouraged the learners to maintain regular school attendance and actively participate in class, highlighting the value of the free government primary education provided to them.
Pupils were further counseled on building positive friendships and avoiding negative peer pressure. They were reminded of their role in supporting their families at home and were urged to uphold strong moral and spiritual values. Ms. Naigaga challenged the young learners to dream ambitiously, aiming not just for future employment, but to become job creators through dedication, innovation, and skills development.
The monitoring team also sensitized the pupils about broader government support programs. Learners were informed about their entitlement to free primary education and access to free medical services at government health facilities. They were encouraged to appreciate and responsibly utilize these public services.
ONC reaffirms its commitment to monitoring service delivery in the education sector and strengthening mentorship initiatives. Such programs are vital for promoting discipline, academic excellence, and fostering responsible citizenship among the nation's youth.
