HPS members working yesterday on the dayshift and nightshift juggled over 30 calls for service that included several arrests for various crimes. Great work by our HPS team. Please remember that heavy workload volumes result in calls getting prioritized according to needs.

HPS officers were called to a fire on 10th Street on Thursday evening. The fire was extinguished by a passerby prior to emergency services attending. With the assistance of @hanoverfd, and video surveillance it was determined the fire was started accidentally from a cigarette.

An off duty @hanoverfd firefighter witnessed a male suspect violently punch a female inside a parked vehicle before it fled at a high rate of speed. The investigation has resulted in the arrest of a 21-year-old male suspect from Dundalk for Assault & Breach of Release Order x 2.

HFD responded to a total of 214 calls in 2023. This graph illustrates the types of emergencies that were encountered. Our paid on-call firefighters spent over 10,000 hours responding to emergencies, training and administrative duties. Amazing, simply amazing HFD!

Great outcome last night for a hunter lost in the bush. All agencies, @WestGreyPolice @hanoverfd @GreyParamedics West Grey Fire, @MGH_Fire worked well together. Drone thermal technology was used to locate the hunter that allowed crews to walk in an make patient contact.
