🛠️ Support Lessons:
So far, zero board defects reported.
Most issues have been traced to:
Sketchy PSUs
Failing AGP cards
Flaky USB/SD media
BIOS config quirks (like “USB as fixed disk” causing Win98 crashes)

🧼 ASRock: Foreign objects in AM5 socket caused Ryzen 9800X3D failures — not motherboard defects!
Following numerous reports of CPU damage, ASRock investigated and found no hardware defects in retrieved motherboards. Instead, foreign particles inside the socket were causing boot failures and even CPU damage. After cleaning the socket, the boards passed stress tests without repairs.
🧪 The company clarified there were no VRM burn marks or electrical faults. While ASRock motherboards were most commonly reported, similar incidents occurred on MSI, ASUS, and Gigabyte boards. A new BIOS was released, though the issue wasn't memory-related as previously suspected.
⚠️ The question now is: how did debris enter the socket, and is the AM5 design prone to contamination? AMD’s involvement is now crucial as Ryzen 9800X3D damage reports continue to surface.
