Two House reps just torched the FBI for certifying biometric products from 32 Chinese companies with direct ties to the CCP's military and surveillance programs.
Reps. John Moolenaar and Raja Krishnamoorthi fired off a letter to FBI Director Patel, warning that firms like Hikvision and Beijing Hisign are marketing products as "FBI approved" despite links to Xinjiang repression.
The irony? The FBI is essentially giving its stamp of approval to the same surveillance tech used against Uyghurs.

"The agency is sending a dangerous message by keeping these firms on its list."

Xu Zewei, tied to Chinaโs Ministry of State Security, just got nabbed in Italy for hacking U.S. universities and stealing COVID-19 research while the world panicked over a new virus.
He also allegedly helped launch the massive HAFNIUM cyberattack that fried Microsoft servers and scooped secrets from a law firm hunting info on U.S. policymakers.
Prosecutors say Xu and pals worked at a Chinese company that basically moonlights as the governmentโs digital break-in crew.
If convicted, Xu could spend decades in prison, unless Chinaโs PR machine writes him off as just another โinnocent tourist.โ
One hacker buddy is still on the run.
