I coach kids in what would be seen as middle class area and the level of hidden homelessness is insane. So many kids bunking it with relatives, the family split up between houses, a constant state of precarity. Parents with good jobs. None of these kids are reflected in the stats

Daughter 24 and BF 31 live with me. Both have degrees and jobs in local hospitals. Off to Canada in July.
Son 31, works in Dublin and lives with his Dad in Portlaoise. Has to go to the office 2 days a wk. They are 17hr days.

The real number (we don’t include several categories) is much, much higher.

This is true, the hidden poverty in #Ireland #hiddenhomeless its hidden because people r ashamed, well not me, I have no heating, no working shower, basically not a pot to piss in but ever day the kids go to school and I show up 4 work.
