Paying Β£25 an hour from the pension is a nightmare. When you finally get support, you end up Β£800 plus in arrears and then it becomes a case of working on cut back in food or utilities etc. The council has been good enough to accept a payment plan on a monthly basis with fees plus Β£20 extra to recover costs but it is stressful to get support, get information on different companies and then get offered a company that does not do the job set out. No idea where the money goes, but the homehelp person was a decent person, but minimum wage should be questioned by political parties to get more people into care services by lifting wages in my opinion . Sorry for my meltdown, it's kind of tough not being able to vent frustration when health issues hit home.
