In the FRAME funded lab we have researchers developing & improving in-vitro liver cell models. Combined with ever-improving in-silico models like this we should one day be able to predict Drug-Induced Liver Injury (DILI) with out using animals #humanbasedresearch #3Rs
Korean scientists from @KITPR have created accurate computer models for predicting one of the major side effect of drugs: liver injury (cholestasis, cirrhosis, hepatitis & steatosis), significantly improving upon existing models.
