✅ తెలంగాణ ప్రభుత్వం ప్రతిష్టాత్మకంగా నిర్వహిస్తున్న “Telangana Rising” కార్యక్రమంలో భాగంగా ఏర్పాటు చేసిన “ థ్రెడ్ పోచంపల్లి” (Thread Pochampally ) చేనేత వస్త్ర ప్రదర్శనను రాష్ట్ర వ్యవసాయ, మార్కెటింగ్, సహకార, చేనేత మరియు జౌళి శాఖ మంత్రి శ్రీ తుమ్మల నాగేశ్వరరావు ఘనంగా ప్రారంభించారు. ఈ సందర్భంగా మంత్రి మాట్లాడుతూ, పోచంపల్లి ఇక్కత్ చేనేత కళకు ప్రపంచవ్యాప్తంగా ప్రత్యేక గుర్తింపు ఉందని, ఇక్కడి నేతన్నల నైపుణ్యం తెలంగాణకు గర్వకారణమని అన్నారు.
✅ వేల సంవత్సరాల చరిత్ర కలిగిన చేనేత సంప్రదాయాన్ని భావితరాలకు అందించడం మనందరి బాధ్యత అని మంత్రి పేర్కొన్నారు. పోచంపల్లి ఇక్కత్ వస్త్రాలకు లభించిన జియోగ్రాఫికల్ ఇండికేషన్ (GI) ట్యాగ్ ఇక్కడి కళాకారుల సృజనాత్మకతకు, నైపుణ్యానికి దక్కిన అంతర్జాతీయ గుర్తింపని మంత్రి తెలిపారు. "భూదాన్" ఉద్యమానికి చారిత్రక కేంద్రంగా నిలిచిన పోచంపల్లికి ప్రత్యేక స్థానం ఉందని, పోచంపల్లి రుమాళ్లు, ఇక్కత్ చీరలకు ప్రపంచ మార్కెట్లో మరింత ప్రాచుర్యం కల్పించాల్సిన అవసరం ఉందన్నారు.
✅ చేనేత రంగం అభివృద్ధికి రాష్ట్ర ప్రభుత్వం కట్టుబడి ఉందని స్పష్టం చేసిన మంత్రి, సీఎం శ్రీ రేవంత్ రెడ్డి నాయకత్వంలో గత రెండున్నర సంవత్సరాల్లో చేనేత రంగం అభివృద్ధి, కార్మికుల సంక్షేమం కోసం సుమారు రూ.1,400 కోట్లకు పైగా ఖర్చు చేశామని తెలిపారు. నేతన్నల ఉపాధికి ఎటువంటి ఇబ్బంది కలగకుండా ప్రభుత్వం అండగా నిలుస్తుందని హామీ ఇచ్చారు. గ్లోబలైజేషన్ పోటీని ఎదుర్కొనేందుకు రాష్ట్రంలో "ఇండియన్ ఇన్స్టిట్యూట్ ఆఫ్ హ్యాండ్లూమ్ టెక్నాలజీ"(IIHT) ఏర్పాటు చేసినట్లు మంత్రి తెలిపారు.
✅ IIHT ద్వారా చేనేత కుటుంబాల పిల్లలకు ఆధునిక డిజైన్లు, నూతన సాంకేతిక పరిజ్ఞానం, మార్కెట్ అవసరాలకు అనుగుణమైన శిక్షణ అందించి అంతర్జాతీయ స్థాయిలో పోటీ పడేలా తీర్చిదిద్దుతున్నామని చెప్పారు. కార్యక్రమంలో మంత్రి శ్రీ కోమటిరెడ్డి వెంకటరెడ్డి, భువనగిరి ఎంపీ శ్రీ చామల కిరణ్ కుమార్ రెడ్డి, భువనగిరి ఎమ్మెల్యే శ్రీ కుంభం అనిల్ కుమార్, పద్మశ్రీ అవార్డు గ్రహీతలు గజం గోవర్ధన్, గజం అంజయ్య, చేనేత సహకార సంఘాల ప్రతినిధులు, చేనేత కార్మికులు, కళాకారులు పాల్గొన్నారు.

ఈరోజు హన్మకొండ జిల్లా మడికొండ టెక్స్టైల్ పార్కును సందర్శించి, కాకతీయ పరస్పర పొదుపు సహకార సమితి నాయకులతో సమావేశమవడం జరిగింది. ఈ పార్కుపై ఆధారపడి ప్రత్యక్ష ఉపాధి పొందుతున్న 10,000 పద్మశాలి కుటుంబాలు కోవిడ్ అనంతరం ఎదుర్కొంటున్న సమస్యలను వారు నా దృష్టికి తీసుకొచ్చారు. వారి ఇబ్బందులు తెలుసుకున్న వెంటనే, కేంద్ర ప్రభుత్వం తరఫున వారికి పూర్తి అండగా ఉంటానని భరోసా కల్పించడం జరిగింది. అర్హులైన వారికి కేంద్ర ప్రభుత్వ పథకాలు అందేలా చూడటంతో పాటు, వారి రుణ సమస్యలను పరిష్కరించేందుకు శాయశక్తులా కృషి చేస్తానని మాట ఇచ్చాను.
పొదుపు సహకార సమితి వారు తక్షణమే ఒక ప్రతినిధి బృందంగా ఏర్పడి పూర్తి ప్రతిపాదనలు సిద్ధం చేయాలని వారికి సూచించాను. ఆ బృందాన్ని స్వయంగా ఢిల్లీ తీసుకెళ్లి, సంబంధిత కేంద్ర మంత్రులతో చర్చించి వారికి న్యాయం జరిగేలా చూస్తానని హామీ ఇచ్చాను.

Textiles Committee organised a Workshop on India Handloom Brand at IIHT Auditorium, Varanasi on 28 March 2026, with participation from over 100 weavers.
The programme was graced by Chief Guest Shri Mohan Kumar Sharma, Joint Commissioner, DIC. Other dignitaries including Shri Ashok Kumar Verma, Deputy Director, WSC; Shri Rakesh Sharma, Assistant Director, MSME; and Shri Avinash Aggrawal, Lead Bank Manager addressed the gathering, highlighting key schemes and appreciating the efforts of the Textiles Committee.
Industry representatives Shri Amresh Kuswaha, Chairman, UPICA and Mr. Amin Ansari, Ex-President, EUPEA participated and raised important issues concerning artisans.
Dr. Tapan Kumar Rout, Director (MR), Textiles Committee explained the significance of the India Handloom Brand in detail and encouraged artisans to come forward for registration.
