The Pakistan Software Houses Association (P@SHA) has officially endorsed the federal government’s $1 billion national AI investment plan, highlighting its pivotal role in advancing Pakistan’s IT and tech sector.
Key Highlights:
- Pakistan’s IT exports reached $2.2 billion in the first half of FY26, a 20% increase year-on-year.
- The plan features 1,000 PhD scholarships in AI and a federal mandate to train 1 million non‑IT professionals in advanced tech skills.
- P@SHA emphasized that private sector participation will be central to building a strong, export-driven AI ecosystem.
