Dear Jairam, China's role has been in the public domain in India with my article India-Pakistan Conflict: Operation Sindoor, 7 to 10 May 2025, First Impressions, published by Usanas Foundation on May 18, 2025, long before the July 4, 2025 inexact confession from Lt Gen Rahul Singh. Significantly, I had posed two questions, vis-a-vis Indian foreign policy engagement, or the lack of it, with China and Sweden, and I quote: "Yet, nobody has asked the Swedes, does their agreement with Pakistan or the end-use commitment certificate issued by Pakistan allow transferring systemic control of the SAAB 2000 Erieye AEW&C platform to the Chinese? "Similarly, nobody has as yet confronted the Chinese with reports that the office of the Chinese Ambassador to Pakistan Jiang Zaidong was the nerve centre of the C4ISR — Command, Control, Communication, Computers, Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance —  integrated combat system used against the Indian Air Force on May 7, 2025." And I must admit that the first whistleblower was Memphis Barker in The Telegraph (London) article How China helped Pakistan shoot down Indian fighter jets, published May 8, 2025, albeit not in India and in a possibly lesser detailed account thereof. The two questions above, including, inter alia, the utilisation of the Diplomatic Premises of the office of the Chinese Ambassador Jiang Zaidong in Islamabad (effectively Chinese Sovereign territory) in launching an assault on India and Indian Forces are key. Again the purported assault by Pakistan, made possible by Chinese execution and support including Satelite Data Inputs and Technical patching of that input through to Chinese supplied Missiles of the Pakitan Air Force, with the Control Systems operated by China and not Pakistan make China a clear aggressor, whom the government of India has failed to censure or act against or even take up these critical issues in bilateral discussions with China till date. Finally, Lt General Rahul R Singh's recent remarks of May 2026 at the FICCI seminar on new-age military technologies, naming Turkiye as the Third "direct adversary in the context of India-Pakistan conflict" also need to be addressed.
