🚨 A matter that deserves attention…. A company called STAR INN has reportedly been contacting serving and retired Army officers…offering ā€˜exclusive Armed Forces packages’ and complimentary stays at their properties. They claim to compete with @clubmahindra During interactions…representatives appear to collect information such as the officer’s Corps, service background, and professional network šŸ‘€ What is concerning is that they seem to possess extensive databases of military personnel and in some cases…appear aware of details about other officers from the same Corpsā€¦šŸ‘ļø Whether this is merely aggressive marketing or something more concerning…the existence of such databases raises important questions… • How were these contact details obtained? • Was consent taken before collecting and sharing such information? • What safeguards exist against misuse for cyber fraud, social engineering, impersonation, harassment or targeted phishing? I see a modus operandi here… and if this gets unchecked… can be very very dangerous for national security ā€¼ļø Military personnel are high-value targets for intelligence gathering and cyber-enabled attacks. Any organization handling data relating to serving or retired officers should be subject to the highest standards of privacy and data protection. Any entity maintaining databases of serving and retired military personnel must be subjected to scrutiny regarding data source, consent, storage and usage. In the era of cyber warfare and social engineering, seemingly harmless marketing exercises can create vulnerabilities. Vigilance is not paranoia…it is a professional responsibility…!! I request the officers and veterans should exercise caution before sharing personal, service-related, financial or network information with unknown marketing representatives…!! I request defence journalists to kindly rake up this issue @ShivAroor @VishnuNDTV @nitingokhale @sneheshphilip @majorgauravarya I request the OSINT handles @thehawkeyex @LevinaNeythiri @OsintUpdates @AgentVinod03 @OSINTWarfare and others to throw light on structure of this company … owners … share holders … !! If you have the same gut feeling about this company… in that case do share your views !! #CyberSecurity #DataPrivacy #IndianArmy #Veterans #InformationSecurity

Today, the White House released National Security Presidential Memorandum 12 (NSPM-12), establishing a new framework for the cybersecurity of U.S. National Security Systems. The memorandum re-establishes the Committee on National Security Systems, expands the role of the National Security Agency as the National Manager for National Security Systems, strengthens incident reporting requirements, and directs agencies to adopt more unified cybersecurity standards across military, intelligence, and federal networks. Whether you work in government, defense, critical infrastructure, energy, telecommunications, or cybersecurity, this document is worth reading. A few key themes stand out: • Increased accountability for agencies operating national security systems • Faster reporting and response to cyber incidents • Greater emphasis on secure cloud environments and emerging technologies • Stronger coordination between military, intelligence, and civilian agencies • Continued focus on defending critical missions against sophisticated nation-state cyber threats Cybersecurity is no longer just an IT issue. It is a national security issue, an economic security issue, and increasingly a public safety issue. As threats continue to evolve, the ability to secure systems, protect sensitive information, and maintain operational resilience will remain one of the defining challenges of our time. Read the memorandum and draw your own conclusions. #Cybersecurity #NationalSecurity #CriticalInfrastructure #CyberDefense #RiskManagement #InformationSecurity #InfrastructureProtection #Technology #Government #Leadership
