مٹھی میں سول اسپتال کے چیف طبی افسر ڈاکٹر عبد الکریم شیخ کی افسوسناک موت کے معاملے پر سندھ حکومت کے محکمہ صحت نے تحقیقات کے لیے کمیٹی قائم کر دی ہے اور خودکشی کے خط میں سامنے آنے والے چار ملازمین کو معطل کر دیا ہے۔ محکمہ صحت کی جانب سے جاری اعلامیے کے مطابق ڈاکٹر عبد الکریم شیخ، جو ضلع تھرپارکر کے سول اسپتال مٹھی میں گریڈ انیس کے چیف طبی افسر کے طور پر خدمات انجام دے رہے تھے، ان کی موت اور مبینہ خودکشی کے خط میں عائد کیے گئے سنگین الزامات کی چھان بین کے لیے حقیقت معلوم کرنے والی کمیٹی تشکیل دی گئی ہے۔ کمیٹی میں ڈائریکٹر جنرل صحت خدمات حیدرآباد کو کنوینر مقرر کیا گیا ہے جبکہ محکمہ صحت کراچی کے ایڈیشنل سیکریٹری فنی امور اور ڈپٹی کمشنر تھرپارکر کے نمائندے کو رکن بنایا گیا ہے۔ کمیٹی کو ہدایت دی گئی ہے کہ وہ ڈاکٹر عبد الکریم شیخ کی موت کے حالات و اسباب کا تعین کرے، خط میں جن افسران یا ملازمین کا ذکر کیا گیا ہے ان کے کردار کا جائزہ لے اور مناسب قانونی و انتظامی کارروائی کے لیے سفارشات پیش کرے۔ کمیٹی کو تین دن کے اندر اپنی رپورٹ محکمہ صحت کو پیش کرنے کی ہدایت کی گئی ہے۔ دوسری جانب سول اسپتال مٹھی کے چار ملازمین منتھر بھیل اور سردار بھیل بطور نرس، برکت علی ہنگورو بطور گودام دار اور رجب بطور وارڈ ملازم کو فوری طور پر معطل کر دیا گیا ہے۔ حکمنامے کے مطابق معطلی کے دوران انہیں قواعد کے مطابق تنخواہ اور مراعات ملتی رہیں گی اور ان کے خلاف انضباطی ضوابط انیس سو تہتر کے تحت محکمانہ کارروائی کی جائے گی۔ ذرائع کے مطابق یہ کارروائی صوبائی وزیر صحت ڈاکٹر عذرا پیچوہو کی ہدایت پر کی گئی ہے جبکہ مزید اقدامات تحقیقاتی کمیٹی کی رپورٹ کے بعد کیے جائیں گے۔ رپورٹ: اللہ بخش آریسر۔ The Government of Sindh has formed an inquiry committee to investigate the tragic death of Chief Medical Officer Dr Abdul Karim Sheikh in Mithi and has suspended four employees whose names appeared in the alleged suicide note. According to an official notification issued by the Sindh Health Department, Dr Abdul Karim Sheikh, who was serving as a Grade 19 Chief Medical Officer at Civil Hospital Mithi in District Tharparkar, died under circumstances that raised serious concerns. A fact-finding committee has been constituted to investigate the circumstances surrounding his death and the serious allegations mentioned in the suicide note. The committee will be headed by the Director General Health Services Hyderabad as the convener, while the Additional Secretary Technical of the Health Department Karachi and a representative of the Deputy Commissioner Tharparkar will serve as members. The committee has been directed to determine the causes and circumstances of Dr Abdul Karim Sheikh’s death, examine the role of the officials and employees mentioned in the suicide note, and present recommendations for appropriate legal and administrative action. The committee has been instructed to submit its report to the Health Department within three days. Meanwhile, four employees of Civil Hospital Mithi have been suspended with immediate effect, including Munther Bheel and Sardar Bheel as staff nurses, Barkat Ali Hangoro as a store keeper, and Rajab as a ward boy. According to the notification, the suspended employees will continue to receive their salary and allowances as per rules during the suspension period, and departmental proceedings will be initiated against them under the E&D Rules 1973. Sources said the action was taken on the directives of Sindh Health Minister Dr Azra Pechuho, while further action will be decided after the inquiry committee submits its report.
