Most Kaspa wallets won't need to do anything for Toccata. Kaspium, Kasware, Tangem, OneKey, KDX.. they're all P2PK wallets, and P2PK transactions keep working after the fork. They'll continue to function as wallets the day after activation.
What Toccata changes is what becomes possible in cold storage, and general expressiveness. The fork (KIP-17 KIP-20) adds consensus-level covenant lineage //// output bindings that the chain itself enforces across an entire spend chain.
Combined with the introspection opcodes (KIP-10) that landed last May, this is enough infrastructure to put real FrostCard Custody rules on chain:
whitelisted destinations,
heir inheritance,
freeze gates,
14-day timelocks for policy changes.
