She claims that despite paying ₹56,800 in rent, security guards insist on speaking Hindi. At the same time, she appears to be provoking Kannadigas against Hindi-speaking security staff and turning an individual issue into a larger linguistic debate. Our question is simple: Bengaluru has Tamils in large numbers, Kannadigas in large numbers, and people from every part of India. If security staff are creating problems, raise a complaint with the society management. If the issue is serious, move to another society. Why drag Kannadigas into it and generalize the issue? If the same situation had happened in North India, what would you have done? Instead of blaming entire communities or creating hostility between people, focus on the actual problem and hold the individuals responsible accountable. And please, don’t come to Bengaluru and try to replicate the same language politics that have dominated public discourse in Tamil Nadu.
