IGAD Land Governance Team Begins Learning Visit in Ghana 🇬🇭

Day 1 featured a series of high-level engagements aimed at deepening peer-to-peer learning on effective land governance systems:
•Courtesy call at the Ghana Lands Commission Head Office to set the tone for the exchange.
•Meeting with Hon. Emmanuel Armah-Kofi Buah (MP) (
@ArmahKofiBuah) Ghana’s Minister for Lands and Natural Resources to discuss Ghana’s journey in modernising land administration.
•Technical session at the Land Use and Spatial Planning Authority (LUSPA) highlighting spatial planning reforms.
•Concluding the day at the Office of the Administrator of Stool Lands (OASL) for a detailed technical presentation and institutional visit.
This exchange—supported by Sweden—aims to strengthen the capacity of IGAD Member States’ Land Commissions to drive equitable, transparent, and inclusive land administration and policy reforms across the region.
