From Progress to Sustainability: Strengthening Community Engagement in HIV Response Happening now @rrpplus in collaboration with @RBCRwanda under the support of @GlobalFund convened a consultative meeting bringing together RRP staff and representatives of People Living with HIV (PLHIV) to reflect on the remarkable #achievements made in Rwanda’s HIV response from 2003 to date and discuss strategies to sustain these milestones as HIV/TB services #transition toward #integration into #PrimaryHealthCare. The discussions highlighted the critical role played by community systems, peer educators, and PLHIV networks in strengthening HIV prevention, treatment adherence, psychosocial support, stigma reduction, and linkage to care services across communities. Participants acknowledged the progress achieved through collective efforts and emphasized the importance of maintaining people-centered approaches that ensure continuity of care for PLHIV. The meeting also provided a platform for participants to identify key opportunities and challenges related to sustaining community-led HIV interventions, strengthening peer educator systems, and enhancing collaboration within the government-led HIV response. Exposure Visit: Strengthening Community Systems to Address GBV The Chhattisgarh SRLM team visited Ranchi district (Ratu & Mandar blocks) on 12–13 March for an exposure visit to understand the Gender Resource Center (GRC) system and its functioning. During the visit, the team learned how Badlao Manch, GPP, VO SAC, and CLF SAC work together as a community-led system to address and reduce Gender-Based Violence (GBV) at the grassroots level. They also observed how GRCs function effectively with the collective support of SHGs, VOs, CLFs, and the administration through the advisory committee, strengthening the overall grievance redressal mechanism.
