Four years ago today we set up Haringey’s first “Library Garden” project at Wood Green Library in partnership with @WoodgreenBID and @haringeycouncil
As soon as GrowN22 got the go ahead the majority of the planting was purchased and stored in @Duke_Nuke’s garden with @msolwilliams and @__Revel helping with the logistics and planting.
Shortly after the first batch of planting went into the ground the first COVID lockdown struck and GrowN22 had to get special permission to be able to continue to planting to finish the project. Luckily enough we pulled it off with tremendous support from the local community, volunteers, @AllyPallySt, @LondonNPC, @ggharingey, @Nextdoor_UK, @NPBigLocal#LibraryGarden 📚🌱🌿
We spent the day over at Hornsey Library mulching the flowerbeds. With the final round of planting taking place later this week the team will be back tomorrow to clean up, carry out preparation works and to weed the hardstandings. Traditional before and after videos are available for your viewing pleasure 🌱🌿 #LibraryGarden
It is a momentous day down at Hornsey Library as the “reclining lady” has been installed back in the fountain space. Here’s a short video of the ladies return 💦🌱🌿 #LibraryGarden 1/2
