ALT RNIB Bookshare provides free online access to books from over 1,000 publishers, and presently has more than 936,000 titles available, with more being added daily. It has over 3,000 accessible images, which are available in both braille and large print.
By using RNIB Bookshare, students have access to high quality text-to-speech narration, which can also be accompanied by the highlighted word on screen. Braille and large print items are also available.
The Library wellbeing support team are now able to add students who have a specific learning disability, Dyslexia, Autism, Attention Deficit Disorder etc. as well as those whose physical disability significantly affects their use of printed material.
