I had a super time with Theo at Bristol Central Library this morning. He did a fantastic job teaching everyone how to draw dragons – even those, like me, who are absolutely AWFUL at art!!! Thank you to everyone who came along and joined in with the activities, including Aoife, Aneeka, Dylan, Casper, Maisie, Henrietta, William, Phoebe, Lottie, Violet, Marguerite, Soli, Jocks (did I get that right?), and all those whose names have sadly slipped out of my tired old brain. Thank you, Andrew, for organising today’s event at your lovely library. I’m sorry for bringing the rain… it seems to be following me around at the moment… but it definitely didn’t interfere with the fun!!!

During my recent school visits, I’ve encountered so many wonderful pupils. One of them being Theo, an exceptionally talented twelve-year-old who I met at Brookthorpe Hall School. Whilst we chatted about the cover of my first book, he told me he likes to draw, and showed me some of his illustrations. Hearing that I’d just finished writing book two, he then asked about the possibility of illustrating the cover. And thanks to my wonderful publisher, @CranthorpeBooks, it was swiftly arranged! It's been an absolute pleasure working with Theo over the past few months. And now you can all feast your eyes on his incredible illustrations.
Theo Jarvis is a young illustrator from Bristol, where he lives with his mum, dad, two younger sisters and two terriers: Peggy and Blue. He has loved drawing from an early age, especially cartoons, and after being diagnosed with ADHD and autism in primary school, he has found that drawing and art really help him to keep on track.
