How Africa can progress. Script-native societies, where the spoken language aligns with the written script used in literature, academia, and governance, almost always outperform limited-language societies. In contrast, limited-language societies use different languages for daily life and formal contexts. Currently, around 40% of the world, including India, the Arab world, and much of Africa, falls into this category and is underperforming.
