N100のChromebookがポイント還元で実質8400円だったんですけど、触ってみたらChromebookってこんなに良かったんだって思いました。Androidユーザならガチでいい。
テザリングもChromebookからオンにできるし、アプリの表示を同期してキーボード入力できたりLinuxVM入れられてGIMPがネイティブアプリのようにインテグレーションされるのでめちゃくちゃ実用的。
持ち歩き用Windows機欲しいなって思ってたけどこれでよさそう…！！電池持ちはまだ見てないけど

これは期待してしまう
共通カーネルのVMを立ち上げるのではなく、コンテナごとに最小のVM立てる形になるのか
LinuxVMがメモリ確保し続けて、時折LinuxVM再起動が必要な問題も、コンテナごとのVMなので発生しないと
大量のコンテナを立ち上げる環境ではない、サクッとVMが立つ世界ならば、良さそう
これはWSL2よりもいいものだぞ。WSL2はMS製initdがWindowsとのやりとりをする&独自カーネルがWindowsから必要応じてメモリをもらうなどの実装をしていた。ただLinuxカーネルはパフォーマンスのために空きメモリはバッファとして活用するので太り続ける。

LinuxVMとK3Sでインフラ構築してみたけど、個人での運用はなかなかに大変。まるでカーチェイスのようにタスクが次々と押し寄せてくる感じ。勉強にはなるけど、これはもう信玄さんばりの戦略眼が必要かもしれない…。

I’m super confused by this post.
These are unusual metrics for evaluating verifiable compute—they fit better in a web2 server runtime discussion than in web3. It makes me wonder whether I have the wrong context or if this isn’t actually about verifiability.
If it's about general web servers (LinuxVM = VMware?), then sure—I have no horse in that race.
But if it's about verifiability (LinuxVM = something like Cartesi), then these claims don't make sense.

Macを最近使っているが、いまいち良さというのが分からない。
便利には使っているけど、Macだからこその利点というのが感じられない。
ちなみに私の利用状況では、開発環境とかは全部VPNや単体でサーバを立ててそこで管理されているので、Unix系のコマンドが使える事がアドバンテージになることはありません。
OS固有の機能とか、Macのハードウェアを活かした部分でのアドバンテージというのが何かあるのだろうか。
