The Kujenga Amani Project Peace and Dialogue Caravan is concluded its final in-house forum yesterday in Matuga Sub-County with a meeting of security actors at the Kwale County Commissioner's Boardroom. Over the past week, we've traversed Matuga Sub-County, engaging in discussions on peace and security as foundations for development. Notably, young people have taken a leading role in facilitating these sessions, demonstrating their commitment to shaping a peaceful future.
Our stakeholder forums, which included
#women_leaders,
#religious_leaders, and
#local_authorities, have uncovered a complex tapestry of conflict issues. These challenges require a harmonious, community-driven approach that respects the deeply rooted cultural practices of our society.
Today's meeting serves as a validation of our efforts, with security actors pledging to work collaboratively with all relevant stakeholders. Their commitment marks a significant step towards fostering a more peaceful Matuga society.
