SOLO, through its SPEAK program funded by @theGCERF, successfully conducted workshops for local communities on the development of Peacebuilding Action Plans. These workshops emphasized the importance of community-driven approaches to resolving conflicts, enhancing social resilience, and devising innovative peacebuilding mechanisms. The events brought together a diverse and influential group of community peace activists who praised SOLO’s significant contributions to peacebuilding and social cohesion in #Kismayo and its surrounding areas. Over the past two years, SOLO has played a pivotal role in strengthening preventive actions against violence in Lower Juba, Somalia. By equipping local communities with essential knowledge and skills in peacebuilding, SOLO has fostered a culture of empowerment and self-reliance.
