The #ShitBank $MSVB deal closes Friday. Reminder that the final price of $17.75 is 25 cents below what the bank paid to rid themselves of a shareholder that wanted them to sell the bank over four years ago.

its a $30M market-cap, and these CU takeovers take a long time to payout even after the deal closes (usually 6-9 months?). Deal spread is not unusual vs a GBNY or MSVB also in a similar boat

In the meantime, all regulatory approvals have been granted for the $MSVB acquisition, with closing expected by the end of April. The stock is trading at $16/share, with a small 6% spread to the upper range of potential distributions. Probably worth closing this one out. If you got in last year, that’s a decent 16% return. As I noted in my initial pitch, this was trading at a 5–7% spread to the lower range almost until the end of last year, so there were definitely better entry opportunities.

Yesterday, $MSVB also received regulatory approval for its acquisition by a CU. (Beacon CU of Wabash)
