The great Rabbi Maimonides says that it is permissible and virtuous to murder a snitch (moseir) to prevent him from reporting your crimes to the authorities.

Agree, but saying that context "is rarely necessary for fruitful reading" is a bit too strong. Knowing the language at the time a book was written seems necessary. (Why did Maimonides write the Guide in Judaeo-Arabic?) PAW is all about context. Context understood correclty points to authorial intent.

2/2. ...Christianity, the invention & impossibility of a Roman exodus, ancient local Yahwist communities from China to Timbuktu slowly inspired by Babylonian Talmudic theology until cult codified into religion by Maimonides in Middle Ages. ISR is zionist nationalism, not JUDAISM

Maimonides ranks the two lowest forms of perfection as wealth and bodily perfection. Moral and intellectual perfection are the two highest. I write this from LA, land of cars and gyms. Maimonides wasn’t against either. He just believed they were the basement, not the penthouse.

The text from Maimonides' Mishneh Torah (Issurei Biah 12:10) states that if a Jewish male intentionally has relations with a gentile woman, she is executed for causing the Jew to transgress (likened to an animal in the biblical precedent of Numbers 31:16-17, the Midianite incident involving idolatry). It applies across ages and statuses in that framework. Halacha 9 covers the reverse for adultery with a married Jewish woman. This is ancient halachic codification on forbidden intermarriage to protect religious boundaries and lineage, not evidence of intent to broadly "stop gentiles." Such laws are not practiced today. Context prevents distortion.
