🌿 The Great Commission – A Call for Today The Great Commission is one of the most pivotal and challenging moments in Jesus’ story. It’s easy to read it with respect, nod in agreement, and then quietly move on, because the Lord is asking us to do something that can feel inconvenient, uncomfortable, or even difficult. Yet the risen Christ declares with all authority in heaven and on earth: “Go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.” (Matthew 28:18-20) Today, let these words sink deeply into our spirits. Let us examine our daily lives in the light of this Great Commission. Are we actively helping others come to the knowledge and acceptance of the salvation Jesus offers? Or are we only doing what feels comfortable? Are we truly listening to and following the leading of the Holy Spirit? What can we do today, in our words, attitudes, and actions, to help a lost and needy world find its way not only to the cross, but to the eternal life Christ promises to all who believe? He is risen indeed. Go therefore… and know that I am with you always.
