Midmod is a superior building style for actual living. It was the best expression of how people actually move through and use their spaces.
Victorian rehab is a distinct aesthetic choice with not a lot of potential payoff that attracts the most fool hardy.

There was an architect named Eichler that built homes in California until the mid 70s. Midmod and charming with beautiful courtyards. Boomers decided they wanted mcmansions and so those went out of style. Now they’re super sought after.

Nobody knew how to define and classify its components and started conflating Windows XP with 7 for example, then the Nintendotards came in and destroyed and credibility it would’ve had as its own design language like what you see with 80’s memphis and 60s midmod etc.
